The bill to amend the Law "On Preventing and Combating Corruption" and the Rules of Procedure of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (Reg.No.10718) aims at refining several provisions of basic anti-corruption law as well as amending part one article 93 of the Rules of Procedure of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
The Law "On Preventing and Combating Corruption" suggests amending articles 1, 4, 5, 7, 9, 11, 12, 14, 22 as well as declaration on property, income, expenses and financial obligations.
Amendments of part one article 93 of the Rules of Procedure of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine stipulate mandatory forward of each registered in the Secretariat of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine bill to the respective Committee to check its correspondence to the requirements of anti-corruption legislation.
The bill to amend the Law "On Fight against Terrorism" (Reg.No.10719) aims at refining several provisions of basic anti-corruption law based on the provisions of the United Nations Security Council Resolutions concerning terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 in the United States.
According to the bill, Security Service of Ukraine, Ministry of Internal Affairs, central executive body in the defense sphere, central executive authority on matters of civil protection, central executive body on financial monitoring, central executive authority on matters of the state border protection, central executive body on customs affairs, central executive authority in the field of execution of criminal sentences as well as the intelligence agencies of Ukraine and the State Guard of Ukraine are responsible for fighting against terrorism
According to the provisions of part four article 93 of the Rules of the Procedure of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Committee agreed to send the bills to the Cabinet of Ministers to obtain the Government's position regarding the adoption of the abovementioned bills.
